Planning a wedding involves so many decisions, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Our job is to make choosing your wedding cake a simple, tasty and fun process. Extravagant, whimsical, traditional or simple, each cake is created to express the taste and sentiments of the individuals being honored. Our specialty is a wonderful, one of a kind wedding cake, made with only the finest and freshest ingredients. We will work with you to create a truly delicious and original cake that reflects your sense of taste and style.
Appointments…The first step is to schedule an appointment for you to taste cake samples, look at our portfolio and discuss all the details. There is a $25 fee for tasting appointments which will deducted from the price of your cake when you book with us. Our appointments take place weekdays (sans Tuesdays) and before noon on Saturdays. When you call please let us know your wedding date, reception location, time and approximate number of expected guests. Please understand that we cannot contract to make your wedding cake if you do not have all of these things in place. If you have pictures, sketches or ideas, bring them along. Also, have a look at our menu and choose a few combinations of cake and fillings you would like to try as we make all samples to order when you arrive for your appointment.
Pricing..Wedding cakes are priced on a per serving basis. The number of servings of cake depends on the number of guests and what other desserts are being served. Generally, the number of servings will be approximately 90% of the number of guests you are expecting to attend. The shape and style of your cake may also be a determining factor in the number of servings you will need. Our wedding cakes are sized generously with four layers of cake and three layers of filling.
- Prices for buttercream iced cakes start at $3.25 per serving and up depending on design. Fondant covered cakes start at $4.25 per serving. Any fresh flowers for your cake must be provided by you or your florist and we will gladly place them on the cake for you provided that they are brought to the bakery the day before your wedding or if they are at the reception site when we arrive.
- A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to reserve your date. Please note that we take only three or four wedding cakes per weekend and book up pretty quickly. We do take a small deposit for our large board that your cake rests on and an additional deposit may be required for any equipment used in the assembly of your cake. This deposit will be completely refunded when the wedding is over and all equipment is returned in good, clean condition. Final payment and final guest count are due two weeks prior to your wedding date.
- Delivery charges are based on distance from our shop. Our delivery area is within 45 minutes from Greensboro.
